First, I have an exciting announcement. A few months ago, the village of South Russell approached us with an opportunity to collaborate on a project: building a pavilion at the Bell Road parking log. This was very timely: we haven’t done a good bricks-and-mortar project since Founder’s Field and the stairs by the falls, both of which were some time ago. After ironing out the details with Bill Koons (South Russell Village Trustee) and Matt Brett (Mayor of South Russell Village), we heartily agreed.

As such, I am pleased to announce our joint effort in constructing the “Chagrin Valley Jaycees Pavilion”. You should be seeing this announcement in the Chagrin Valley Times shortly, but I wanted all of you to hear it from me first. Again, it is thanks to all of your efforts and contributions that makes endeavors such as this possible. Please continue to seek out potential sponsors and donors; we have plenty of opportunities for our local organizations to promote themselves during Blossom Time, Chili Cook-off, Octubafest, and our many other events. This support allows us to continue funding our many local charities as well as additional beautification projects.
