Chili Brew Off 2016

11th Annual Chili Brew Off

Come join the fun and sample the best chili the Valley has to offer from three distinct categories. The categories include Restaurants, Valley Service Groups, and Amateur’s. The event is projected to host anywhere from 27 to 35 different chili recipes. All you can eat! (while supplies last).

You may have noticed a change in the event name from last years “Chili-Cook Off” to this years “Chili-Brew Off”. This is due to an addition at the event which will include a Craft-Beer tasting competition! Six (6) to Twelve (12) Local Microbrews will compete against one another.

Music and entertainment will be provided by the local Charles Video Production and CVP’s Sound Experience. Concessions will include hot dogs, popcorn, pop, etc. AChinese Raffle will also provide great take home prizes, such as an autographed football from Defensive Linebacker Paul Kruger of the Cleveland Browns.

Symphony Under the Stars 2015

The Chagrin Valley Jaycees and the Chagrin Valley Jaycee Charitable Foundation are excited to announce the First Annual “Symphony Under the Stars” concert by the Chagrin Valley Studio Orchestra to be held in Riverside Park, downtown Chagrin Falls, on Saturday September 19 from 7-10 pm. The orchestra, a staple of the Chagrin Valley arts community, will perform a variety of popular classical works and favorites from Hollywood. This promises to be a fun, relaxing family friendly event in a beautiful, comfortable setting. The concert space will be accessible from 4pm on for those wishing to set up their seating a bit early.
All proceeds from the concert will benefit Chagrin Valley food banks. We ask that attendees bring a minimum donation of $10 per person, or a small amount of non-perishable food items. Attendees are free to bring a picnic, blankets, and chairs to better enjoy the concert.
As a precaution against inclement weather, the concert will be held under a large tent, and concertgoers are encouraged to sit where they will be most comfortable. Also, while we ask for the minimum donation, contributions of any size are welcome and are tax-deductible. Again, this event will benefit those in need in our community and we look forward to seeing all of you on September 19th.
