Investment Committee Board of Directors Matt Michalek President Joe Constant Personal Joe Constant has been a lifelong resident of the Chagrin Valley, moving to the area when he was just 5 years old. He attended Chagrin Falls schools from kindergarten through grade 12. Mr. Constant fondly recalls the excitement of Blossom Time and the Christmas lights growing up. To him, the Jaycees were legendary for making it all happen. Many years later, he has been happy to have been an organizational leader of the Jaycees, helping to carry on that tradition for so many people to enjoy. Key Experience and Qualifications: Chagrin Valley Jaycees Leadership Team: Mr. Constant is a long-time member of the Chagrin Valley Jaycees Leadership Team. He joined the Board of Directors in 2008 and was the first recipient of Martini Award, to recognize up and coming members. He has held the Board positions of Secretary, Vice-President and President. Mr. Constant has also served as the Director of Operations for Blossom Time and other events for over 12 years. The pinnacle of his Jaycees career was being awarded the Outstanding Jaycee Award in 2020. Chagrin Valley Jaycees Reorganization: As President in 2017, Mr. Constant worked with the President of the Chagrin Valley Jaycees Charitable Foundation to craft a long term vision for the Jaycees which would allow the creation of a merged organization where we could increase giving to the local community. The #1 mission is to build an endowment fund where the funds will be held in perpetuity and will serve to support charitable organizations, college scholarships and bricks and mortar projects throughout the Chagrin Valley forever. He is extremely honored to be named the first Chairman of the Chagrin Valley Jaycees Investment Committee. Ken Kvacek Mr. Ken Kvacek has belonged to the Chagrin Valley Jaycees for over a decade. He served as a member of the board of directors for the Chagrin Valley Jaycees Foundation and has been a member of the Investment Counsel since November 2020. Key Experience and Qualifications Previous experience with nonprofit and community organizations: Mr. Kvacek’s involvement with nonprofit organizations has been in many capacities including as a member, committee member, chairperson and board member where his participation focused on marketing, fundraising, governance and finance. Sales and Marketing Leadership: Mr. Kvacek has experience in sales and as a marketing executive, a business owner and an elected official. Career Summary Mr. Kvacek is currently the president and CEO of K-Med Inc. He has also held multiple sales and marketing management roles within several multinational corporations in the medical device sector from 1983 to 2016, including The Proctor and Gamble Company, Coloplast A/S, AcroMed Corporation, DePuy, DePuy Synthes and Johnson & Johnson. Education and Certifications Mr. Kvacek has a BS in Pharmaceutical Sales and Health Care Sales Management from University of Toledo. Marc Levey Key Experience and Qualifications Prior nonprofit experience: Mr. Marc Levey has previously been member of the Discovery Children’s Museum (Las Vegas) and served the executive committee as treasurer. During this time he helped lead the organization to a successful use of a $43 million grant to build a new 58,000 square foot location for the museum. He has also served as a board member for the Chagrin Valley Jaycees and as a Blossom Time Chairman since 2019. Corporate Financial Leader and Controllership: Mr. Levey’s broad financial background lends to having a comprehensive perspective of organizations, their operations, and keeping a watchful eye in safeguarding assets. Career Summary Mr. Levey currently works in commercial finance and FP&A at Avery Dennison (Avery), having previously served in operations finance and global transformation. Prior to joining Avery, he has held a number of different financial roles across industries at various institutions like Gensler (Architecture), Xanodyne Pharmaceuticals, and Robbins Sports Surfaces. Craig Lyndall Key Experience and Qualifications: Mr. Lyndall has a degree in finance from Boston University. Utilizing that degree, Mr. Lyndall spent just over five years working in project management and financial reporting for the office of the CEO of Parker Hannifin. After leaving Parker Hannifin in 2007 to join his family’s insurance agency, Mr. Lyndall and his brother grew the agency from 10 employees to 30, growing revenue over 50-percent by 2020. Mr. Lyndall is a second-generation member of the Chagrin Valley Jaycees. He has served as a board member and a Blossom Time Chairman since 2016. Jeffrey J Miller Key Experience and Qualifications Finance & Leadership Expertise: Mr. Miller boasts a diverse finance and accounting skillset gained from progressive accounting, operations, and investor relations roles during the past 15 years with the Parker Hannifin Corporation – a fortune 250 global company. Career Summary Mr. Miller is currently Director of Investor Relations for the Parker Hannifin Corporation in Cleveland, Ohio, a position he has held since 2019. In this role, he serves as a key point of contact for the investment community. Mr. Miller joined Parker as an Accounting Trainee. He then worked with Parker’s Mergers & Acquisitions team specializing in acquisition integration globally. In 2008, he moved into division operations as Cost Accountant, and then Value Stream Leader where he held operations, supply chain, quality, and P&L responsibility for a rapidly growing business in Portland, ME. In 2012, he moved back into Accounting and Finance as Division Accounting Manager in Cleveland, OH. Prior to his current position, Mr. Miller led the accounting and finance function as Controller of Parker’s Hydraulic Pump and Power Systems division headquartered outside Columbus, Ohio. Other Community Service Mr. Miller is a co-founder of the investment club EnvisionEight, LLC, a group started by 8 alumni from the Chagrin Falls High School class of 2002. For more than 10 years, they have awarded an annual scholarship to a graduating Chagrin Falls senior. He is also a member of the National Investor Relations Institute, Chagrin Valley Jaycees, and Chagrin Falls Dads Club. Education and Certifications Mr. Miller studied accountancy and entrepreneurship earning a Bachelor of Science in Business from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Rob Sherman Mr. Rob Sherman has been a member of the Investment Counsel since November 2020. Key Experience and Qualifications Perspective on institutional investment programs, including alternative asset exposure: Mr. Sherman has gained key experience through his current role as corporate counsel and an investment committee member of a multibillion-dollar, single-family investment platform. Career Summary Mr. Sherman currently serves as corporate counsel to Parkwood LLC and is vice president of its Delaware-based limited purpose trust company since 2014. Mr. Sherman has also counseled numerous public and private entities through diverse corporate transactions, including merger and acquisition activities and private fund formations while he was an associate at Jones Day. Mr. Sherman operated pressurized water nuclear reactors and surface platforms and, completed an instructor tour during tenure with the U.S. Navy. Education and Certifications Mr. Sherman has a BA in Political Science & Asian Studies from the University of Maryland and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia.
